I was watching Francis Chan on YouTube and started thinking about my prayers. I do not pray out loud, while others are around. I also feel like I do not pray well. My mind will find something shinny while I am praying. I lose Focus sometimes. Not always, just sometimes. Well of course I had to wonder why I do this. Also am I the only one who has this problem. I believe others have this issue too. My answer came to me. I do not honestly feel like I am really talking to my Father. I do not really allow the Holy Spirit be involved with my prayer. Lets say my Father came to me and said Lets go out back and play catch . So I grab our gloves and we go to the yard. While we toss the ball, we just talk to the rhythm of our throws. Sometimes we talk about what is going on and other times he is showing me how to throw things better. But even after this moment is over. You still feel good that your Father spent time with you. He never expected me to give a long speech and sound like I was well educated. He just wants to see me and talk. By the way. What I got from Francis Chan was. Become independently , dependent on God.
