I was watching the news this morning and another one of the rather brutal anti-smoking ads from the NY Dept. of Health came on. It reminded me of how grateful I am that I was able to quit three and a half years ago. I know that my smoking for almost 40 years off and on (mostly on) did some damage, but I am lucky and blessed that I seem to have been spared the worst of it. Yes, I have a heart condition that it is partially responsible for, but other than that, I think I dodged more than one bullet. Fortunately, I am a bad shot.
