I was woken up at 2 am by the sweet sound of a quiet rain, not car doors slamming, not jet planes or helicopters, not cats fighting or dogs barking, not my neighbors talking in the street, not the sprinklers that go on loudly seemingly every 2 hours but a much different sound, one I hadnt heard in a while, a nice soft ALMOST unfamiliar sound and the beautiful earthy aroma of a gentle rain. AND even though I had the urge to run outside and stand in the middle of it, I just smiled contently and fell back into a nice peaceful sleep feeling thankful. AHHHH RAIN I love you! Its been too long.
