I was wondering if anyone can help with a within-subject mediation - TopicsExpress

I was wondering if anyone can help with a within-subject mediation issue? I have an experimental design in which all participants completed the same measures twice, with an experimental manipulation in between. I want to know if two mediating variables (M1 and M2) mediate the relationship between Experimental Condition (X) and an Outcome variable (Y ). If I only had one mediating variable I could do the analysis using Judd et al’s (2001) within-subject mediation method (i.e. does between-condition difference of M predict between-condition difference of Y), but I don’t know how to do this with two mediators. One solution might be to use Model 6 in PROCESS. However, the only way I can think of achieving this is to convert my dataset so that each participant is counted twice. Doing this doubles n, and I think violates assumptions of normality. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Fergus
