I was working at the Inner Harbor ESPN Zone in 2010 when they closed without any notice. It was a real slap in the face and all of the workers were upset. The news framed the issue as if we were just fighting for money, but it was more than that. It was about giving us proper notice that we were gonna lose our jobs. There were people that had their kids in daycare and people that lost their homes because they couldnt pay rent. Closing the door on us like that was just disrespectful. The news didnt frame it like that and it was up to us to get our story heard. That’s why I believe that we need to make our own media and tell our own stories. --Keith Brown, Media Team member Check out more of Keiths and other media team members testimonies below, and please consider donating to support our work! razoo/story/Keith-Brown-Fundraising-For-United-Workers-Media-Team
