I was working for major accounting firm. A senior partner call for help, he need to reboot his pc. This was an old MSDOS PC. He tells me he doesnt have time to do it, come down here and do it. So it takes me about 15 minutes to get to his office. I walk in, hit the power button, and then turn it back on, and walk out. Same company, another Senior partner cant get on the network. Before I can get to his office, he calls again, now his laptop is dead. Cant get it to turn on... So I go to his office, and sure enough his laptop is dead. No lights on his external network adapter (this was in the 90s)... So I look down at the power strip... I turn the power strip on, and wow everything works. Imagine that???
