I was young when 9/11 happened, but I remember the fear and anger of my parents. In 2011, I was blessed to be in NYC during this time and I was able to talk to many of the people who had been there. I remember one lady specifically. She was in the neighboring buildings and witnessed the planes hitting the twin towers I was sitting in my chair looking outside and all the sudden I see a plane really low. I thought I was seeing things until the plane hit the first building. I remember being so in shock that I vomited right after. All I could hear was screaming and sirens. When the second plane hit, I thought this isnt real. This isnt real. Then everything from there was in slow motion. The smell of death was so over powering that there was no air. Every time this day comes, I get sick beyond belief from just the memory. The horror of it will forever be with me. I still wake up 10 years later from nightmares of it. Never forget. Always in our hearts. This lady changed my perspective of this event. People dont understand how bad it was until they are either in it or they talk to someone who was. The ghost towers will always light the night. NEVER FORGET. ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS.
