I wasnt a fan of these protest, die ins, etc at first. However Im beginning to see a difference in the marches, back in the day, and today. The biggest difference is, social media. Back in the day there were MANY whites that marched and fought for the injustices upon blacks. But because of the media, it was not showned as much. So many people who had issues, had them privately. With cell phones, and the Internet, like minded individuals are finding like minded individuals. Blacks arent staying in the myth that ALL white people are blind to the injustices. And whites cant stay in the myth that its all in their heads. Young people are BOLDLY coming out. They are expressing themselves loudly. And the two Americas are being exposed. When white faces see white faces beaten, tear gased, etc. The rules will change. Because it goes from a them conversation, to an Us movement. Human nature is to bond more with people who look like you. Color blindness Is a myth that can never happen. However it can shift from a Noun, that describes a persons BEING, to an adjective that is used to describe their complexion.
