I wasnt able to post a picture of the sunset yesterday, so here is a video of me in Lake Michigan and a summary of my day: We departed from Koehler-Andreas State Park at about 10:30, and headed north, towards Green Bay. It wasnt as much driving as I initially imagined, and when we arrived, it was fairly cold for the middle of summer. I went into the water pretty far, and it wasnt as bad as I thought, after standing in it for a while. We then left Green Bay, and moved to a new campground, Point Beach State forest. We cooked dinner on the fire. I had calzones, and my mom and grandma had roast beef. As the evening grew near, I took the first shower that Ive been able to take in days (the perks of having a mother who doesnt do motels.). Now, if youve never taken a shower at a campground, you should be thankful. With the temperature having dropped down to about 53, and being in an unheated building, a warm shower was hard to get out of. After bearing through the agonizing cold for as long as any human should, I walked back to my campsite to find my mother conversing with our camping neighbor. He told me his name was James, but everyone calls him Freddy. He stayed and talked to us for what must have been 45 minutes. He was an interesting guy, though. And Im glad we talked to him for a while. After he left, it was fairly late, and we went straight to bed. I promise tonight Ill have a sunset picture though! (Not that anyone actually reads this)
