I wasnt going to bring up Robin Williams on our page, but I feel - TopicsExpress

I wasnt going to bring up Robin Williams on our page, but I feel that as a celebrated comedian whos career spanned over 3 decades of entertainment in the secular arena in stand up and film, theres no doubt by now youve all probably heard and in some ways are somehow reflecting upon hearing about his tragic death by suicide. Had his death been by natural causes I think I and many of the world would be more at peace by the tragedy. But to hear the tragedy was done by himself, definitely brings up the harsh reality that there is definitely a battle for our life here on earth and for the next. In respect for Robin Williams family, friends and fans, I dont want to use this post as merely a teaching point. While theres a lot of things we can discuss in review, I think theres a time and a season for all that, but the day of, the day after or even the week of... doesnt seem appropriate. The world needs to know that Christians are sincere in how we care. What is appropriate I believe is some sort of acknowledgement. Some understanding. Some open discussion. Some real evaluation and reflections on the subject matter in this tragic story. There indeed are people left in the world hurting because of the fact that someone so influential died by suicide caused by depression. If anything I ask that we pray for his family, and close friends, who are hurting, and that we pray for his fans that they might find peace in their own grievance. May God bless all those who are hurting, depressed, feel abandoned and/or alone, that they get the help that Gods grace and peace can provide. And I encourage all of the fam to be a light today. God bless. - Cid
