I wasnt going to put this on Facebook but was told that I had to by a couple of friends, lol. Thursday morning started out like any other day, I was in a hurry, I had an early special needs client. As it turned out my super busy day ended up rescheduled and I ended up in the E.R. I was coming down the steps outside, took a wrong step, heard a loud crack.....and then theres that moment when you know that you are going down, theres no catching yourself. Now Im laying facedown on the concrete in unbelievable pain, pretty sure that I have just broken my ankle, and knowing that I am not going to be getting up by myself. So I call Al, hes out in the field and not very close. Then I call Jess, she will come right away. Its 26 degrees out so it doesnt take me long to start to shiver laying there...well now what...Brogan is standing over me worried so I call him closer to me, I grab his collar and haul myself up using my good leg and Brogan to get upright, and bless his soul he stood firm and helped me up. Then I leaned on him and used him to get to my suburban which was running about 25ft away so I could warm up. He was so brave and patient. Yeay my sister and her husband showed up almost immediately and she drove me to the E.R. I am counting my blessings because its just a bad sprain, woohoo! Big thanks to my awesome sister, Jessilyn Vizenor, and her hubby Shane Vizenor, who Im sure had better things to do than rescue me, lol. Another big thank you to Ro Ginsbach who has come everyday cooking fantastic meals and cleaning up the house. Also my husband Al Dahl who is stuck bringing me things and helping me get around safely. Its been a rough weekend but my ankle is getting a little better every day. The swelling is down from these pictures but now it has more color.
