I wasnt going to say anything like this. But I keep seeing it on my fb feed and its beginning to piss me off. All I see is ppl commenting on the mike brown surveillance video (mostly white). Ive watched it too, and of course what he did wasnt right in any context. But all he stole was some cigars, he didnt have the cashier at gunpoint. Nor did he take the robbery to the extreme, which he could have. Now with that, the comments Im reading are just saying what a thug he was. He mustve been a gangbanger etc. I just have one question to ask. Does a Lil robbery for cigars justify the man being killed? Havent you all stolen something that was just as petty as cigars? So now hes a gangbanging thug who bated the cop to shoot him? This is all bull shit to me. And I hate to see so many people who are white, making this assumption. Some of whom I consider my friends. Again I dont agree with any of his actions, it was wrong I completely agree with that. But making that a scapegoat to say it was justifiable for the cop to shoot an unarmed person, I will not agree with. Now weve all heard that the robbery had nothing to do with the confrontation. Im literally sick to my stomach. Im disappointed in all who have made these observations, followed thru with the assumptions and believe that it was ok for the cop to kill and unarmed black man. I wonder what most of you would say if the situation was in vice versa. If some of have read this and would like to comment feel free. But I will not tolerate any sort of ignorance.
