I wasnt gonna but here it goes. 8 things you may or may not know about me: 1. I was a competitive gymnast for 13 years. I started at age 3 and stopped at age 16 when I started coaching/teaching gymnastics. I was coaching/teaching until things got crazy this past February 2013. I will get back to it again sooner or later. Even though I am 35 years OLD, I can still do a round-off back handspring and stand/walk on my hands for over a minute. (But…..it hurts for like 3 days after!!!!) 2. Ten years ago this year, my husband and I bought the same house I grew up in from my parents. We have many of the same neighbors I had when I was born. 3. I have known my husband since elementary school. We hung out with the same high school bunch of friends and hated each other for a while. (He hated me for turning him down in 9th grade and I hated him because he was rude to me after that) He dated a girl in our friends group forever and I dated one of his best friends within our group for a while. We, in NO way, EVER thought we would end up married with children. 4. I am known for having and holding onto friends forever. My best friend Erin and I have been friends since we went to Clardy Elementary School in 2nd grade. We still talk every week. I am still friends with my childhood friend/brother John who lived 2 houses down from me. I have known my best guy friend Tyee since we went to pre-school together at North Oak Preschool (where my daughter went for pre-K), I still talk to my long-distance friends Misty and Sandy. 5. I played violin in high school and to this day, I still don’t know how to read the notes (or really any part of the sheet music) because I played by ear. Mr. Hale from Oak Park would get so mad at me when he would ask what note I was playing and I couldn’t answer. I can play piano by ear as well. 6. I was a cheerleader for my freshman year. We mainly cheered at football game. I was very good but I could never be the lead cheerleader because I didn’t know ANY plays in football (the 1st and 10 cheer meant nothing to me…lol). My husband just recently taught me what I know now. (enough to become a Chiefs fan this year) 7. As a child I couldn’t say no to strays. My parents would get so mad at me because I would (too often) find a stray animal and bring it home to stay. As I got older it was stray friends….lol. 8. I just recently (last summer) found out I am claustrophobic or became claustrophobic after getting stuck on a roller coaster for 30 minutes. During my major panic attack on the Prowler, I literally was trying to squeeze my way out of the shoulder harness, I couldn’t breathe, and I felt like my heart was going to pop out of my chest. Ever since then. I can’t ride on anything or in anything I can’t physically get myself out of which makes me sad because I love going on roller coasters!!!!! If you want to participate, your number is 8.
