I wasnt meant to be in UST. I was about to go somewhere else, for a time I lived resentful and with disdain knowing Im called a Thomasian. Then it showed me beauty in the most graceful way, it thought me lessons with utmost brilliance and it gave me a new life that no other person behind the four walls of UST could ever revel in. It showed me the greatness that the 400-year old Royal, Pontifical and Catholic University is. Every day that burned our skin, every rain that soaked our clothes, every failed tests we buried in the past, every perfect tests we boast, every random stranger accompanied by a smile, every grass that gave color to our daily life, every stone wall that was a testament to our legacy, every firework that illuminated our celebrated nights and every heartaches we endured. All of it are part of the four years that brought us to this day. This isnt the start of our lives nor is it the end of our youth. This isnt even the greatest highlight of our life. Were not yet halfway there. But we are sure as hell that we are one step closer. To all the graduates of 2014, Cheers to all of us!!! I AM PROUD TO BE A THOMASIAN!
