I watched Aliens last night. My observations are as follows: * this feels more of a feminist statement than the first (she has to deal with more misogynist shit in this - awesome learning about the gun scene // nice character switch of Hicks being the damsel in distress and Ripley being the heroine) * when he is being a cocky prick or a scared prick, Bill Paxton sounds the same * its essentially an 80s action film * the dialogue is awful * having a child to represent innocence and something to strive for and save is an easy screenwriters trick, but it works (she got sass) * air ducts grow in height when you need to run away from eager aliens and have a small child in tow * the child replaces the cat, she goes back for it (shes called newt, another animal) * Suzanna, this is your cat
