I watched The Purge earlier today - not bad, contrary to popular opinion - when I realized... Gone are the days of Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Leatherface and Chucky and all the cinematic monsters and boogeyman of yesteryear. The monsters of todays horror films - like The Purge and the Saw franchise - are circumstance and lack of sanity among human beings. Kids are not afraid of whats under the bed anymore than whos tucking them into it. I mean, come on, a certain franchise which shall remain nameless already ruined vampires and werewolves for everybody. Which leaves zombies. But not just ANY zombies; zombies who can run! I know there was a point to this rant, but Im tired as hell. Good night, Facebook friends. Love, peace, and chicken grease! And as always, remember to have your loved ones spayed and neutered. :)
