I watched a TV show about black holes , and I got to thinking . . . They said that a scientist was listening to them. Now , forgive me if Im wrong , but sound cannot travel in space , as the waves have no medium to be carried through - unlike light , which is a beam , not a wave. So I thought - if black holes do make noise , then what else does. Stars do , Planets do.In fact everything around us , at one frequency or another , makes sound - mainly through the rotation of the Earth. We - as humans - cannot hear these sounds , as they are way below our audible range - however , Elephants and Whales both use Infrasonics ( the range of sound below human detection) for their mating / warning calls to cover vast distances. If they can produce and interpret them , could they possibly hear Cosmic messages - the real Music of the Spheres. Just a thought.
