I watched a movie called Gravity with my girlfriend. It only starred two people, a few lines, and lots of special effects. It would be interesting to review this movie as metaphor. *not a real spoiler* The Earth - a symbol of the womb The Rope - a symbol of the umbilical cord ISS – is another symbol of the womb. The actress - the fate of the modern loneliness The actor - a symbol of self-motivation, the will of life, and the idealized self. Radio – is another symbol of loneliness- How people understand each other, and how everyone lives in a lonely planet. Most of our dialogues are self-talking. The daughter – the meaning of relationship. Chinese station - Sino-US relations. There is no one on the Chinese station, meaning that there is no emotional / value identify and only the material relations. The actress landing on earth in the Chinese station is a metaphor for the reality- Using your money to get through my crisis, i.e. reducing the U.S. debt by the appreciation of the RMB. For a baby, birth is an earth-shattering thing, and its intensity of separating process from the mother is no less than the violent explosion in space scenes in the movie. After birth, we need to face the basic proposition of existentialism such as loneliness, death and meaninglessness etc. by ourselves. In all, this movie is asking a question: what are you living for? The answer, in this movie, lies upon a meaningful relationship. imdb/title/tt1454468/
