I watched a video of a song about veterans by a country singer named Joe Bachman. I was not prepared for it at all. If you want to know what the soldiers and their families deal with watch it yourself. Its exactly spot on. So if you dont understand why Im such a fierce Army/military supporter I say again..watch it yourself. My youngest son is David. I call him Bud. When he came home from Iraq he did look like my Bud. But so different that I didnt really know him that well. I moved to Oklahoma to live with him after that deployment to Iraq because he asked me to. One day I was in the kitchen cooking and doing dishes. I looked up and he was looking at me. I said whats wrong now or something kinda like that. He was angry and said whats wrong with you. Why cant you just be my mom anymore!?! Right then and there I realized I was different too. That video says something like you taught me how to put my uniform on and now I cant take it off. In my own way I have a uniform too that I cant take off. Im his mom. I wear a uniform of fear of losing him and of pride in him. Come what may..I will love, cherish and defend him as best as I can till the day I die. So deal with it!!!!
