I watched my mom intently for years as she decorated cakes, and eventually helped her and then continued after she no longer could. She was my teacher, and she was the greatest. Im alot like her as a teacher, no patience and would rather do it myself so itll be just like I want. LOL!! But today, I had the opportunity to teach two of Mrs. Sellers high school Art Classes at CHS. I showed them how to decorate a cake. I transferred my kitchen to her class and decorated their cake in class. I had so much fun with these groups of kids, I even let them decorate. And not once did I want to take over, maybe in my old age im growing more patient. During all the years of watching my mom, I never thought thats what I want to do for a living. But it happened and it makes me happy to know that my craft is the way I honor a great Woman! And hopefully someone I inspire to continue the trade, even one of my children will help her legacy live on. I love you Mom, Thanks for being YOU!!!! Ive got pictures to follow!
