I watched the Nintendo E3 Digital Event in case you didnt have the time! Heres a quick synopsis... with extra notes for Pokemon. Super Smash Brothers 4: -Mii Fighters (Brawler, Swordfighter, Gunner) with changeable moves are now playable characters -Lady Palutena joins the fight -The 3DS version launches on October 3rd. -The Wii-U version launches in December. Amiibo: -A small trophy called an amiibo will add new game elements to many top titles (including Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Skylanders, and Disney Infinity). They contain microchips for interface with your Wii-U and 3DS. -In SSB, they may function as customizable bots or assist trophies. There will be quite a few of them modelled off of the characters. Yoshis Wooly World: -An adorable new Yoshi game that uses yarn and fabric for some beautiful aesthetics. -Designed to bring a smile to your face. -A 2D side-scroller, platforming game centered on exploration. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker: -Another adorable Mario spin-off featuring a cute lil Toad. Mario Party 10: -Only a few casual mentions. -Going to focus more on Bowser -Going to use amiibos. Legend of Zelda for Wii-U: -Amazing aesthetics. -Aims for a more open-world feel. -You can enter any area from any direction, so the gameplay may feel similar to A Link Between Worlds fused with Twilight Princess. -We may possibly have a lady Link or Zelda as the protagonist! :D I took some notes. New Pokemon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire info: -Incredibly similar visual style to XY. The characters and towns look fresh. -The Mega trio looks awesome. M-Sceptiles tail detaches. M-Swampert actually did some core/leg work. -Primal Devolution appears to be executed in the same fashion as Mega Evolution. I wonder if well be able to Mega Evolve *and* Primal Devolve in the same battle. -No displayed link between Steven Stone and the Mega Charizard X from CoroCoro scan... so Mega Metagross could still be in the stars. -On official art, you can see the Pokemon Contest buildings! -Character customization will probably be included! If you look at different snapshots, the bags change in shape and colour. Perhaps theyll add stores into the previously useless right-half of the PokeMarts. -There seems to be a lack of Battle Frontier on the official art... -A few classic secret base areas still seem to be there! -The Space Center appears to be a lot bigger... Maybe to find Deoxys? -The Sunken Ship is waaaay bigger. Perhaps a plot point? -The Sky Pillar looks a lot different. That may be of importance to the plot... and may hint at new roles for Rayquaza. -Primal Legends are *much* larger. -Primal Groudon gains a Fire type. -Both titles will launch on the 21st of November. Bayonetta 2: -Its a sequel that looks edgy as hell. -Nintendo-themed costumes and Easter eggs. Hyrule Warriors: -This new Dynasty Warriors spin-off could possibly include every notable Zelda character. That means Midna and Zelda and Goron and such. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse: -Wii-U Sequel to Kirby Canvas Curse Xenoblade Chronicles: -Neat aesthetics. -Comes bundled with a lot of Japanese words. Mario Maker: -Ability to create and play your own side-scrolling Mario levels from various Mario Games. -Potentially the only classic Mario game to be released this year. Splatoon: -An eight-player, 4v4, online multiplayer action game. -Played like a territory-claiming paint-ball game. -Its a weird concept, but it actually looks like a lot of fun. Miscellaneous: -Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is Coming Soon -Tons of new titles for the Nintendo eShop -A limited-time discount on classic series eShop titles. -Possible hints about Metroid and Starfox titles. Gabe: -Im probably gonna buy a Wii-U alongside SSB4, Mario Kart 8, Zelda, and an amiibo or two. -Im absolutely getting Omega Ruby and SSB4 (3DS) at launch.
