I watched the anti-teenage pregnancy video made by the DOH. The goal was good but I am not sure why the whole thing made me want to throw up. Gaga Girl and Bobo Boy? Okay, so yung mga nabuntis at nakabuntis na kabataan ay pwede palang tawaging gaga at bobo. Oh alright, high-five! Nakaka-boost ng morale! Grabe, tataas tingin nila sa sarili nila nyan at malamang magiging mabuting mamamayan sila ng Pilipinas. That was sarcastic by the way. Sa daming gimik at kabobohan ng gobyerno ay limot na yata nila kung ano ang dapat inaalagaan, nakalimutan yata nila na ang pamilya ang pinaka-basic na society dito sa mundong nating pinagpala at bansa nating ginagahasa ng mga nanunungkulan sa gobyerno at nilalalamangan ng mga mas nakakalamang sa kabuhayang wala nang gustong gawin pa kundi patuloy na manlamang. Strengthen the families, create more jobs so mothers do not have to leave this country to work, so fathers do not have to miss watching their children grow up, so children will not have to seek in others the fulfillment of the emotional hollowness that their parents absence created. Increase the budget on education. Increase the budget for Educators. Update the curriculum of our schools so what is being taught is at par with whats happening. Hindi yung puro pangungurakot na lang aatupagin ninyo. Mga bish. I do not support teenage pregnancy although that is a reality that started way before Wattpad. I believe that one has to be ready in all aspect of the word because getting into something as serious and life-altering as having children. But I believe, too, that those who faltered should not be castrated and cast aside by being called gaga and bobo. Ilang milyon na naman kaya ang ginastos nitong mga ito para sa video na yun at para maipakalat ang video na yun? I can only laugh.
