I watched the whole storyline on Netflix last night for this Dr. Who story, and the climax here just made me think This is some Superboy and the Legion level sh*t right here! Between this and The End of Time (another epic) I could just cry that DC/WB/whoever cant get their act together and do a Superman movie or a Legion movie where you just sit with your jaw in your lap and your eyes (which are dry as a bone because you dont dare blink for fear of missing something) about to fall out of your skull and your heart is pounding fit to burst. They do this ALL the freaking time on a freaking TV SHOW, but we get watered down, muted colored realistic crap for what passes for epic movies. I want Superman in a BLUE AND RED costume, NOT navy blue and dark red, freaking BRIGHT BLUE AND RED LIKE THE FLAG! And I want the LEGION, teenagers that LOOK like teenagers (albeit models) in bright costumes who reek of hope and optimism (need a slightly grumpy Timber Wolf for contrast) in a bright and colorful future threatened by villains like Mordru (who makes Voldemorte look like Chris Angel) and the Fatal 5. I want EPIC! This should be Brainiac instructing the Legion members how to work the controls to stabilize earth while a straining Superboy is towing the planet back home. Show a scene of the Legion of Super Villains wondering what the hell is going on and Luthor looking at a view screen to see what Superboy is doing and screaming his rage, and though Superboy can still hear him and is saddened by his former friends actions, he presses on to get earth back home.
