I watched this movie after Matthew McConaughey won the Oscar - TopicsExpress

I watched this movie after Matthew McConaughey won the Oscar recently for it and I have to say I was really surprised by the overall Pro-Life message in this film. The core intrinsic value of every human life no matter how desolate or weak the life is shown powerfully through Ron Woodroff and the surviving HIV peoples lives. The movie really brings to light serious issues on Medical Ethics and Morals as well the struggles of LBGT people. I personally feel this movie is greater starter for Christian conversation on these issues, especially with treating EVERY life with respect, love, and dignity no matter who they might be just like Christ loved us first and foremost. A passage that came to my mind as the end credits rolled: Matthew 25:35-40 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’ And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’
