I watched three interesting films over the weekend and just had to share some thoughts. Enchanted on SABC 2, The X Men on E then Population 436 on E. I love light hearted romances, enjoy special effects, and was curios about the horror movie. I see South Africa as an enchanted country with all its beauty, scenery, mountains, wild gardens and animals etc. This is spoiled by the shacks built by freeways and other public places, by the vagrants roaming the streets and begging, and all the protests and the mess they make. The X Men had some good guys and bad. They all had special powers and used them for good or evil. The population 436 stayed with this number since the year 1800. If a baby is born someone had to die, if a stranger came into town he was forced to stay and someone else had to die. Horrible. Well on Monday I thought about this and came to this conclusion. Our country can be very enchanting if we the citizens kept our cities clean and not depend on the municipalities. We could be like the good X Men. Each one had a different power within and when they stood together they defeated the enemy. Now we all have talents and gifts and if we worked together we could help each other get out of poverty. And the population? Well this was evil perpetuated by the leaders of this community. Corruption, theft, rape, murder etc is perpetuated by evil in this country and we can stop it by standing up and speaking out loud and clear against it. We need to work together, unite together and be one voice against the evil in South Africa. There are many Christians who spend a lot of time praying for South Africa and make no mistake God hears our prayers and answer them, but He will not answer prayers of those who refuse to come to the Lord Jesus Christ. God loves us all but he cannot help us if we do not come to Him in full repentance asking for forgiveness. Things are only going to get worse if we continue to live in our selfish little worlds and do nothing for those in need and for those who want to have a decent life. So come on lets do something good in our community and try and change someones life.
