I webt to visit Brendas resting place this evening. What a peaceful place it is to remember, reflect and just be still. There is a lot of movement all around when youre just still. I noticed different insects crawling around the flowers and in the grass, just existing. Wind blowing through the branches of the trees and the little wind mills people place on a grave. But what I noticed most was the writing on Brendas marker. Etched in stone, was her name and the date of her birth and entering into Glory. Underneath was the truth she lived by. The marker is new the writing crisp and clean. It was put there by someone, Im not sure who placed her name on that marker, but it doesnt matter, her name is there, but should The Lord wait and not return as soon as I hope, her name on that marker will probably fade over the years. It will most likely be looked at in several decades and somebody will say, wow she was only 54 when she passed away. I wonder what she died from? That marker will still be there with her name on it. But there is another place her name is written down, not etched in stone where time and the elements weather it down, but written in Jesus blood in the Lambs Book of Life. In that place angels gaze upon it, saints remember the day Brenda knelt down and confessed Jesus as her Lord and Savior and Jesus inscribed the name Brenda Rogers in His Book. I still go to her resting place because it is peaceful, its been less than two months since her victorious entry into Heaven, but in that place nothing ever fades and all things are always fresh and new. Your name is recorded from the day youre born until the day you pass away, but the only place that it really matters is the Lambs Book of Life. Brenda knew that, I know that and my family knows that and because of that Book and our Savior, we will see each other again. I love you so much Babe and looking forward to seeing you again.
