I went and saw this guy in concert recently- Gary Allen, one soulful life explorer. This song is one I find really comforting when times are tough. It offers no answers, no bs, just a calm assurance that every storm runs out of rain. And thats it. Hard to remember when youre in the thick of an emotional time- but hey trust a good country tune to remind us of the simple cycles of life and how they always prevail. When were feeling chaotic & overwhelmed, nature reminds us that we are STILL within a cycle...and that gives us the necessary structure and rhythm to allow our flow of laughter, or tears. Realising that we are within a sacred cycle can allow us to let go and allow this part we are currently going through. There is a deep peace when we remember we are moving THROUGH a storm, not stuck forever in one. Yes, there is death. But it doesnt stop there, just look around you. Storms bring rain. So, if youre storming inside, let it be. Let it rain. Because death is always followed by rebirth, so just wait for the rainbow. It will come. The timing has been taken care of, all that we need to do sometimes is keep on breathing. And sometimes, when things feel intense, that is ALL that is required, the rest is being sorted out by our own higher hands. When the storm has passed, we can get up and help move some sticks out of our path and walk on down it again. And we help our travelling companions who may be snowed under when we are out of our storms, we are only to glad to assist. Its gonna run out of pain. Its gonna run out of steam. Its gonna leave you alone. Its gonna set you free. Im all for choosing to let go of pain or challenge if its time, but sometimes the pain is deep and it is working with and for us. So sometimes, its not a matter of US letting IT go, its about knowing that IT will let go of US, when it has said what it needs to, when it has moved us as it needs to.
