I went back and re-read the Biblical account of Noah and the ark. While I was sitting there thinking how hard it must have been for Noah to close that door knowing all those people were about to die, the thought came to me that he, Noah, didnt close the door! Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him. There it is in Genesis 7:16, God closed that door!! Sometimes we just dont quite have the strength, the will power or the desire to close a door that needs closing. God can and will CLOSE THAT DOOR on whatever it is, if you obey and trust Him and ask him to close doors that need closing. I always, always, always learn a new lesson every time I read my Bible. Ive read that scripture no telling how many times, but today this was my lesson. Thank God we have Bibles to read and a God who listens when we pray. We serve a mighty God able to do great things often in spite of our getting in His way! Also I thank God for knowing what I need and when I am too bull-headed He takes things away from me, shutting the door, for my own good. Praise God for his mercy, His watch-care over us, and for His everlasting love.
