I went by the Paris-Henry County Animal Shelter in Paris, TN yesterday and this very neglected senior GSD was there....covered in huge ticks and obviously having pain when she goes from sitting to standing (hip dysplasia?). Story is she and this younger dog (her pup maybe?) were abandoned when their owners moved away and left them. The sheriff picked them up but does not intend to prosecute the owners (typical here in TN) and as a result this GSD will likely be Euthanized Monday unless a rescue will give her a second chance. I can pull her for free....but I cant house or foster her at this point for more than a day or two as I am in the process of losing my home. Can anyone take her and let her know love for the time she has left? She is going to need surgery on her hips but I will do what I can to help raise funds.
