I went down into my basement one day (a couple years ago) and was going to throw out a piece of wood. I picked it up, but changed my mind. The bat must have been hibernating behind and fell when I picked it up. I heard screaming and saw his wing under the board. Soooooo, I called my neighbor and she came to help rescue him. When he was let loose from the bucket, he landed in bright sun. He stayed there for a good 10 minutes which allowed me to get my camera and get these shots. You can see the leaves right through his wings. Then he took off under the cover of all the pine trees.
