I went out at 4 to feed the dogs and rabbits, and OMG, the temperature has dropped! I tried to put up the tarps on all 3 open sides of the rabbitry, but the wood is so hard, I could not screw the hooks in, so I wound up only hanging them on the short sides, using the chainlink prongs as hooks. Hoping that will be sufficient to knock off the coldest crosswind at least. And Bianca has already pulled fur! I was planning on giving her a nest box Sunday, but I didnt want to risk her babies freezing if they come tonight. It was sort of funny, I put Jaeger in his carrier while I worked, so hes thumping and bumping to be let out; I assumed Bianca would be running around his territory so I could get her hay gathered up, but instead, she backed into the corner of her crate. So I wound up lifting the hay and sliding the box in under it until she had to get in the box (I am using one which takes up the whole crate, so the babies cant possibly crawl out). Fingers crossed everyone!
