I went out to support my friend who was djing on Friday night. While I was there, I kept watching the old man behind the bar struggle to take orders (it was loud and hard to hear and people were being rude) he also had to keep asking his staff to clean and do things, over and over. I talked with him for a while, got to know him and asked if there was anything I could do to help. He said no but that didnt stop me from picking up the slack that his team failed to do. I stayed after the music stopped and cleaned all the tables, put chairs back where they were supposed to go (they cleared a lot of space for the dance floor), I cleaned up broken glass, and I cleaned the dj area (which was a TOTAL mess from all the djs and performers from other sessions, not that night) and I tipped 100%. I didnt have a Maddi card so I wrote on the paper the same thing that on the card and he gave me the biggest hug and was so thankful. I ended up separating from my friends who didnt wait for me to finish cleaning but the smile on his face was more than I could ask for.
