I went sailing after work today in 17 knot winds (white caps and up to 5 foot seas...not a big deal when Im not Captain). What made it special to me was that autopilot and I did all of the work. I single-handed the entire boat with the support of my dad only helping me when I asked for his guidance. I never once left the helm to dance or do anything that brings me joy. Im really proud of him. He stayed so calm even though I was so intense and kind of a drill sargeant because I was so nervous. I did well. I did really well for someone facing all of their fears head on...and tolerating it all. Now all I have to do is do it over and over and over again (and take classes etc) so I can grow into enjoying being my boats Captain. - with Gary Mohilner
