I went to Melbourne today, and as i had my little movie-camera with me while I was waiting for a train at the end of the platform at Melbourne Central station I thought, Hey, i have my camera, so why dont I film the train coming up the tunnel. So I opened it up, pressed the record button and set it down near the edge of the platform beyond the yellow line before stepping back out of the way. When the train had passed, i picked it up and moved to the last carriage to get on board. As i did so, an announcement came over the PA: Camera on platform 4 as a security-guard approached me. He told me I shouldnt be filming, and I looked towards the open carriage door wondering if I was going to have time to get on the train. Luckily, he wasnt in a difficult mood and let me go about my business. There are probably signs up around the place banning filming, but I havent noticed them.
