I went to O.R Tambo last weekend with one of my closest friends to welcome a brother from London. When we got there as we entered the parking, a shiny black VW Scirocco was parked right at the entrance and ma friend be like, wow, checkout those wheels boi *screams* , thats ma car, thats the car I am praying and fasting so hard for.... If only God would quickly receive and answer my prayers dawg..... Ill be on top of the world..... Imma own tha road ntwana I jus didnt respond to that as ma mind was so deep in thoughts.... Besides I didnt wanna start a fight coz most of the time I try to give ma own perspective, we end up getting into some kind of a marathon of arguments..... Well, cool, I have seen that in Africa, especially in Nigeria (as portrayed in most their films) people pray hard for things which people in developed countries simply get by hustling and being well organized. The fact is, you dont get a Scirocco by praying hard but by hustling smart and looking after your money wisely. There is a latin phrase which says, Laborare est orare meaning to hustle is to pray. You dont have to get sick to realise that you gotta drink clean water and clear all garbage away. Africa its about time we change our thinking and perception..... I dont know the bible that much but Ive heard people say there is a verse that says, there is a time for everything, meaning there gotta be a time for hustling and a time for praying. I personally believe there are things that one can pray about while the rest you hustle..... #MondayInspiratin
