I went to Taft H.S. Saturday, to hook up a new(donated)sound system, and tweak new(donated)lights, after teaking, the system was ready to go for Friday night. All I have to do when I come in, is power up everything, and we are ready to go, fully optimized and ready For Terry ! I felt Terrys Great Spirit all around me as I went about my tasks, in the auditorium, onstage, where a very young TK performed many times, I imagined a very young Terry, running up & down the aisles, horsing around in the balcony, being his usual energetic, prankster self, Terry, Being Terry ! I knew I was alone in the school, (along with Music Chair, Brian), spending almost 5 hours, walking in the footprints, that Terry left behind 50 years ago, and all along, I felt as if I wasnt alone, TK was walking with me, step by step, curious of all that we were doing, to honor him ! I realize how important this event, and any other types of charity,(donated equipment) to benefit High School Music programs are, after Brian mentioned to me, that his department, has not received funding in 4 years ! This makes our event, and other types of charitable donations, critical to keeping Arts In The Schools, ALIVE, for generations to come !
