I went to Taverna de Portugal. Pictured is an oven-baked cod dish, their famous sandwich, and an egg tart (I tried to find their menu online so I could give the exact names of each dish, but its not on their Facebook page). I thought the cod dish was great. Its very cheesy, which I like, but my wife said it was a little too greasy. The sandwich was definitely the highlight of the meal; that thick piece of beef in the middle was very tasty, and the sauce surrounding the sandwich went with it well. I was a little disappointed with the egg tart, as there was only a small amount of filling. That said, the pastry shell was good- buttery and flaky. Also, what Id read everywhere about the owners- that theyre super friendly- is certainly true.
