I went to Vine Street grammar school and lived in the Elaine apartments which was right across the street from the old Hollywood Ranch Market. In that apartment building was our neighbor, John Hamilton, who played the editor on the Superman series. He was the only one in the building that had the first television and used to let me come over and watch TV every night, very nice man. We had a lot of celebrities living in the building at that time. The Co-peppers lived there which were relatives with Ginger Rogers. She visited all the time. With the rest of my time I spent across the street at the Hollywood Ranch Market waiting for the hot dog guy to give me the burnt ones off the grill. Smiles
