I went to Wakodahatchee this morning to see if I can find the GBH with the material on his beak. I still cant find him and I dont know if the deceased bird in the water is him. I tried taking pictures so I could enlarge the area on my computer and still there is no sign that it is our GBH. I read somewhere that someone saw him over the weekend? I dont know who it was or if they did indeed see him. Regarding the deceased GBH in the nest - the mate is still standing guard. There are couples building their nests and going through the mating process all around him (or her), but the mate still stands guard. It is kind of sad, but it is natures way.
