I went to a Choices Informational tonight. I have probably attended over 30 in the last 7 years and I am still amazed with the stories people share about how their lives have been changed. I have heard people say their relationships have been restored, they have the courage to forgive someone in their life or even themselves, that for the first time in their life they could public speak, that for the first time they have a true friend, they may have felt like for the first time in their life they were heard and that even they now know how to listen, and sometimes they now have the courage to leave a very horrible relationship. I heard one girl say tonight that it is the one place where she knows she will be accepted just for who she is with no judgement. I am thankful that 7 years ago I made a choice to go and become part of something that has impacted my community and myself in such a huge way.
