At that time my friend went solar (way before we did) It was (and still is) less than $10,000 USD for their whole house to go solar (and I mean whole house- we have NO electric bill) Theyve already saved thousands and get power from the sun. I want to tag them but alas, I see some people posting that going solar or driving solar cars is so smug We dont drive solar operated cars to be smug and isnt expensive (most can afford the Nissan leaf and operate it on solar or solar the house too) We dont do it for the future of our kids (We dont have any) We do it for the future of the planet animals and all the children of the world. Ironically many I see laughing at solar as a viable option and think its Silly have kids (not all, but most) The great news is the people going solar on their house are laughing all the way to the bank and saving thousands here in Florida within a matter of years. And theyre set for life. off the grid too (So if the grid fails like experts say it will we dont lose power) Not even connected to the electric company here soon. I dont see how that is snobby or smug.
