I went to college with a woman...older at the time...who pulled me aside one day after class. She told me her son was coming in from basic training for a week before he shipped out to Germany. ...and if there was one person she would want to date her son, it was me...and would I go out with him? I dated him for one week and had the time of my life! Scott Sewerd. He was tall, cute, reckless, sweet and I loved every minute of it. He wanted to drive around the country on a motorcycle, grow his hair long and he wanted me to come with him after he returned to the states. I was in! heard this song for the first time on November 1, 1987. He shipped out the day before on October 31, 1987. I got a call from his mother years later... Scott was killed in a motorcycle accident on April 15, 1994. I got in my car, drove down on Riverside Drive, parked and cried.
