I went to my daughters birthday lunch/party yesterday. I stopped - TopicsExpress

I went to my daughters birthday lunch/party yesterday. I stopped at a Walgreens to pick up some chips and beer. I got to the counter at 11:50 am. I had to wait 10 minutes before they could ring up the beer. THESE BLUE LAWS ARE ARCHAIC, ABUSIVE, INAPPROPRIATE, AND ILLEGAL. IT SHOULD BE UNCONSTITUTIONAL FOR LEGISLATURES TO PASS LAWS THAT PROMOTE RELIGIOUS DOCTRINE (MORALITY) OR, IN THE CASE OF TEXAS, SUPPORT THE ILLUSION OF PROMOTING RELIGIOUS DOCTRINE. Here, it is all smoke and mirrors to create the illusion of morality. And I am not just talking about the Legislators. I am also talking about the folks that Congress thinks it is representing. Hypocrisy is the bottom line here. The same presumably holier-than-thou legislators oppose legalizing poker, even charity poker, in Texas. We all know that the greater majority of TEXANS participate in poker games, bingo, horse betting, pool tournaments, the TEXAS lottery, and other gambling activities weekly and/or daily. BUT SERIOUSLY ... No beer sales on Sunday before noon??? WTF? WHY? IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. When are you straight party ticket voters going to wise up and do some research? The Texas Republican conservatives are NOT Gods give to the world of politicians. PLEASE ! PLEASE ! PLEASE ! get behind some common sense and get rid of these idiots ! At the very least, get rid of the ones that you know you dont like instead of blindly re-electing them every election simply because they are on a particular party ticket.
