I went to my first Confest in 1995 , and a further 13 Confests Easter and New Years Eve, in a row. For me being a straight conservative business guy, this was an eye opener and also a spiritual awakening. In reading the posts on this site. I am disappointed to see the absence of the spirituality and unconditonal love I experienced way back in 1995. I am not surprised at the constant barriers that have occurred for the holding of NYE Confests. It is not about committees or this person said this or didnt say that. Or a condeming a decision. NYE Confests arent happening because we are losing our faith and love in community - we abrogate our responsibilities and we are allowing negative media and vibes to affect our energy. We forget that Confest was originally forged with great intention back in the 70s despite a very conservative society. And now we have rolled over. Perhaps we have need to get back to basics and start again
