I went to my genetics appointment today. Good news, Hannah - TopicsExpress

I went to my genetics appointment today. Good news, Hannah Kittèll. I do not have those pesky BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations. I didnt check the twenty or so other mutations which seem less important at this point. So your risk is maybe a little elevated but not 50% (more like 5% statistically but probably not even that.) I am going with the barely proven internet theory - not talc, which I never really used, but the cadaver dental bone graft which I had in 2010 or so. That and the fact that I used to love to follow the DDT truck on my bike when I was a kid - I loved the smell of that stuff when they sprayed every week during the summer in my home town of Amityville (yes, that Amityville.) Any explanation is better than a genetic one as the cause of my cancer. Oh and I am feeling better. You will all be glad to know that the Lifespan facilities in RI are asking everyone if they have traveled outside the country in the last 30 days.
