I went to my local deli to buy various beverages after my gig tonight at Aljira in Newark, and watching my son Ethans band Ava Luna in Williamsburg. As I was coming out of the store with my bag, a trendily attired gentleman was walking in. However, his progress was impeded by the fact that he was very busy realigning his fashionably low hanging pants, which had apparently slid even further down his body while he was in the car. As a result, I saw a stain on his underwear that I think we both would have preferred that I not see. Now I am all in favor of people letting their freak flag fly, (I loved watching the ComicCon people walking up and down 34th Street.) But sir, if you insist on wearing pants in public that dont reach as far as your hips, please also invest in some strategically applied duct tape, or perhaps some velcro. That way, your very fashionable pants will stay put whenever you get out of your incredibly expensive, and carefully detailed sports car. Either that, or change your underwear at critical junctures in your social life. As a fellow male, Im glad you had a successful evening. But I dont think youre making the impression on the public that is quite the one you had in mind. Thank you.
