I went to private catholic school for most of my life, my 1st-8th grade experience was one of isolation and shyness. I had my share of tormentors that made me hate the human condition. I was lucky enough to qualify for a scholarship to the private high school, the one that I wanted to go to since 4th grade. I was looking forward to new faces and the new character that I could become. Somewhere between grade and high school my dad left, moving us from upper middle to lower class over night. High school was a new experience the majority of people their came from money, and while I had been part of that world, I could not connect to these people.
