I went to see 12 Years a Slave tonight. It isnt easy to watch and nothing that tragic should be. , and it shouldnt be. It is, however, a powerful movie and a testament to the strength of the human spirit. Chiwetel Ejiofor is amazing and it has a great supporting cast. The theater was silent at the end and stayed that way until we left. Every young person should have to see it - to understand people at their worse and at their best. Great movie and an amazing story.
