I went to see some childcare centres today with Corrine, so that Jayce has some peers to play with, and all i can say is WOW. WOW... OMG.... Is this real, things havent changed! One centre which is a franchise with the word good in it,,,was my concern today... i almost had a heart attack. Kids jumping on toys, crying, throwing toys around, caregivers without any eye contact with the kids, and then.... she sits them down for lunch and serves up tuna macaroni to about 12 kids... saying you must blow, its hot... and proceeds to burn the mouths of at least three children i saw., but really the whole table shuddered and spat out the food. She didnt sing a song to wait till the food cooled down...didnt put it onto a plate to cool it down quicker.. nothing, just served up piping hot food to the toddlers. I had to say something of course, nothing too bad, just reinforcing what the kids couldnt say, like ,,, yeah dont you think thats a bit hot....then i got up and we left... ok, so my job of a childcare centre spy should be a good one for me! All they did was complain about accreditation, and i was like, yeah... i helped formulate and learn that! hah ha HA ha ha, suck it up. LOL. I felt like saying do your bloody observations, at least your paying attention to a child! Kids must see my angel wings, i was followed by a few of them today - with a help me look on their faces! One place stunk of urine... it was gross. Rant over.
