I went to the AONB Clean Marine Project workshop last night about marine litter. The project is in partnership with the MCS and they are looking for volunteers who can offer varying levels of commitment; from helping with beach cleans, recording marine litter found on beach cleans, organising events and community engagement. The weekend of the 20th September is the MCS Great British Beach Clean. Clean Marine will be hosting a beach clean at WWH! With the results found being fed into local, national and worldwide data on marine littler. Contact Natalie, whos the Clean Marine project coordinator, if you want to help and take park in this event. Also the lady whos Tesco ETW Community Champion (not sure if thats her correct title) was at the workshop, she is also organising a beach clean that w/e as part of the MCS Great British Beach Clean, so keep your eyes peeled locally about details of that. https://facebook/cleanmarineND
